The nearby Rhug Estate is one of the largest organic properties in the UK, offering a nice shopping experience within its purpose built oak and cedar farm shop, selling many high quality local Welsh and organic products.

The takeaway, On the Hoof, serves home-produced organic burgers and breakfasts and the Bistro, the Bison Grill, produces meals from the Estate’s own award-winning meat.

Lovely pub in superb location serving hearty portions of great food.

Overlooking the River Dee and the old stone bridge, the outside terrace is a very attractive feature in good weather.

Carrog station nearby, hear the noise of the steam trains and DMUs as they pass by.

Dudley Arms, Llandrillo

The Dudley Arms is a traditional village inn serving real ale and is nestled within the Berwyn mountain range in the picturesque village of Llandrillo, about 15 minutes drive from Corwen.

I have never been disappointed, the food is home cooked and hearty and cooked by people who can cook! Much of the food is sourced locally and the menu changed regularly, the staff are friendly and helpful and the pub its self looks clean and well kept. One item always on the menu is the home-made steak and ale pie – a proper plate filler and very popular through all the seasons! And those yummy desserts!

Driving not required, you could catch the T3 Barmouth bus there and back, early evening, giving you 2 hours.
